National Office for Child Safety Youth Summit

It’s been an impactful two days in Canberra at the National Office for Child Safety’s Youth Summit.

Giving the key note addresses was our CEO, Grace Tame and the National Children’s Commissioner, Anne Hollonds. They spoke about the importance of lived experience being at the centre of all policy making and that every survivor voice is unique and important in the conversation.

The room was filled with incredible advocates and victim-survivors who shared their stories and spoke on their lived experiences of child sexual abuse.

The Attorney General, Mark Dreyfus and Minister for Youth, Anne Aly, dropped by to talk about the work the government is doing and the most popular visitors were the beautiful therapy dogs from Delta Therapy Dogs who provided much needed comfort and support to everyone over the two days.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful dialogue and to continue the fight for a safer future for children.
